Once more an orienteering venue is the subject of a search for, or discovery of, a person who may have come to harm. This time Chaneys Forest near Christchurch for the missing Emma Agnew, after Spencer Park had earlier been of interest. I wonder if the searchers would find orienteers, or orienteering maps useful in these - or whether they have been sought.
Earlier instances of grisly finds include Belanglo (NSW), Woodhill, and just a few months ago Bottle Lake Forest (also Chch and just a couple of km south of Spencer Park.)

It seems from news coverage that Emma's body might have been found on the Bottle Lake map. Although it would have made no difference to the final tragic result, I feel disappointed that I couldn't have helped with the search, after spending hundreds of hours mapping there.

Just south of Spencerville Campground, near where there were still some clearings, going off the photo on the front of the Press.
