Show Profile  R2 Posted: 25 July 2014, 1:08 AM
Start times for Middle Qualification (Bulgarian time)
10.06 Cameron Tier
10.08 Ed Cory-Wright
10.13 Kayla Fairbairn
10.15 Sonia Hollands
10.37 Helena Barnes
10.45 Sophie Harrison
11.00 Tim Robertson
11.06 Shamus Morrison
11.17 Alice Tilley
11.18 Callum Herries
11.23 Becky Gray
11.26 Nick Hann

There is no GPS tracking.
3 runners start together - running 3 different middle distances courses (they do not know if they are on course 1, 2 or 3 until they pick up their map)
Fastest 20 from each course qualify for the A final,
placings 21-40 qualify for B final
and placings 41+ for the C final.
For the girls there is just an A & B final (as there would only have been 15 girls in the C final)

Congrats Nick and Alice - into the A final. Everyone else made the B. Unlucky Ed, missing by a single place: six seconds.

Nice to see Nick having a smooth run, going by the splits in AP http://www.attackpoint.org/racesplits.jsp/race_15506 He is the only one who didn't lose time, just kept it smart, clean and not to fast

Fantastic runs - obviously Nick in particular - the 2nd kiwi on the podium at this JWOC (that makes 5 in 4 years, with 4 different athletes involved), but all the team can be proud of today's performance on what looks to have been a very testing map. Certainly one of the craziest I've seen.

Awesome stuff. Congratulations Nick, 5th place. Yeah!

Is there a link for areana speakers for the relay tonight

Show Profile  fraser Posted: 27 July 2014, 2:38 PM
Unofficial results show NZ men finishing 7th. With Swiss teams finishing 3rd and 6th, I believe only one will count and should see NZ up in to 6th.

Another awesome result to end the most successful JWOC ever for New Zealand.

Congratulations to the whole NZ team, coach and manager and everyone has helped along the way.

A speaker would have been good, that's for sure. But an entertaining group on hipchat shared things around. Well done all four teams, but especially the podium pack!

The whole event was mind blowing.

Way to go everyone.
