Website is now live and entry page is open.
This will be a superb weekend of orienteering on some of the best maps in New Zealand. If you need to fly, book your flights early, plus get your accomodation sorted. We have had many enquiries from Australia after our advertorial in the Australian Orienteer, and expect many to use this weekend as a chance to experience this terrain as a lead up to the World Masters in 2017.

I'm looking forward to it!

All start times will be from 10 a.m., with last starts near 12.30. We felt that with course closure near 3 p.m, and looming darkness in the forest by 5 p.m, we couldn't have a traditional later start time on the first day, with control collection needed.
Allow at least 100 minutes from the airport to the arena if you are flying to Auckland.
Wioneke planning is going really well, and this will really feel like a new map, as there have been many changes since last use, plus we are using a lot of new area. Paul Ireland mapped this area, and we love it.
Day 3 at Otakanini includes an area of the old 16 Mile Map, unused for 20 years.

Entries are going really well with 28 from Australia, and over 170 entrants already. The Auckland Champs for 2015 is to be held on Day 1(Long) and the morning event on Day 2(Middle) The middle on Pulpit Rock has a new area added, plus has been remapped. This has not been used for a few years now.

Over 200 entries now with 32 from Australia.
You can see who has entered, and who you are racing against on http://qb2015.aoa.org.nz/

346 entrants now, with entries closing Wednesday night, so 400 is possible, which would be a record for a QB weekend that is not a NZ Champs.

450 entries now and climbing fast.
Incredible numbers, and a really exciting weekend in store.
Start draws are done this weekend, so early next week start times will be out.

Event programme and start lists are now on the website, and it seems we are really close to 500 people.

Big thanks to north west for a fantastic weekend. Great maps and courses and loved the challenging and diverse terrain. Also super well organised thanks to jenny and the team - the food and coffee and great vibe were all fantastic!

Outstanding event NWOC - superbly organized by Jenny and the team with everything running so smoothly. Great maps, great courses and a great selection of events. That format works really well for Queens Birthday - would love to see it again next year too! Many thanks to NWOC!

Yep awesome maps and events. Thanks heaps for a great weekend to keep away the winter blues. When is the next big event?! And can anyone get routegadget to work so we can see how it was all done?

Routegadget now up and running for the waioneke long distance JAFA event. Here's hoping a few more folk load their courses. Still hoping for the other maps too!
