O-Ringen

Runs this week in Sweden. 33 kiwis. Something odd on stage 1 for Ross Brighouse but on day 2 4th M70 out of 122 shows his standard. (There is also a M70 short and M70 beginner.) And at the other end of the scale watch Danielle Goodall. A 14th and an 8th out of 133 W16's not counting W16 short. http://www.oringenonline.com

Looks like Tuesday was a rest day for most - but there was an elite sprint (Ross M ran well) and MTBO. Marquita 1st W40, though the field doesn't look strong.

Over halfway through the Oringen week - some great results coming through. The quickest way to view is to go to http://www.oringenonline.com/ switch to English and choose country (Nya Zeeland) in the drop down menu. If you select the day you will see that day's results plus overall time and placing. This overall placing will be used for the chasing start on the final day. Dani, Shamus, Rob, Toby, Renee, Ted, Kate, Nick & James are all currently in the top 36 of their respective classes.

Am I correct in thinking that Tim's 13:53 in a "sprint for national teams" might have been on the same course as Tuesday's O-Ringen sprint. If so it stacks up pretty well:-)

Tim says very happy with the sprint, in spite of two mistakes. Rolling the O-Ringen results into the national teams event gives him 5th. For the atmosphere watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=I2EkUhs2aqQ&app=desktop

Yes the national team runners ran the same course as the Oringen H21E (they ran after the H21E and didn't qualify for prizes, as they had not done the previous 2 days events)
You can replay the whole event http://www.oringen.se/213/boras-2015/live/livesandning.html Tisdag 21 juli: kl 16.45–19.45 (Tim was on about 2 hours 40mins)
Tim & Matt have been picking & choosing training runs in the Open grade to prepare for WOC.

Tremendous footage of Tim, with commentary by the inimitable Per Forsberg. "Tim Roberston, the double world champion, fron Hute Wallee..."

If you ever thought your sport was small, go to that last link and watch the final stage finishing. Runners will continue streaming in like this for several hours yet:-)

Some great results, Gene 37th in H21E is solid given the depth here; Shamus 19th in H20E; and though Danielle may have had a disappointing last stage she finished an amazing 14th overall! W90 just finishing now:-))
