ARWC - Well done to Seagate and those that took (or are taking) part.

uzumati Posted: 14 November 2016, 10:47 AM   Given the unfortunate event today in the mainland I though it worthwhile just to put something positive out there on map talk. Seagate are three times World Champions, keeping calm under pressure, leading pretty much from start to finish. First the french in France, now smashing the Aussies on their home turf (had to put that one in there) Seagate are imho worthy Champs. The victory must be sweeter after what happened last time at AWRC Oz but also because even though the course was scenic, I don't think it really lended itself to Seagate's navigational strength. It sounded like it was more bingo nav that organisers seem to think is fun to try and catch out people with, but hey I wasn't there. Hard luck to Brent and Yealands, rear hubs seemed to be the bain of Tour Aotearoa riders this year too and Bivouac who were sick. Well done to all this racing from NZ, despite what the aussies say in their fb posts, you did us proud. The speed of the race must have been crazy...
